Help me out with the value on a 1t truck/camper!
I was out riding my bike today & i ran accross a 70 GMC 1 tonne with a camper on the back. it has a 350/4sp. It has newer tires, an 8track, a bad paint job but a very solid body for these parts - a bit of one cab support is gone & thats about it. It has buckets, no console because they cut out the back of the cab so passangers can pass into the camper. The camper is siliconed to the cab lots & has a new AC unit (120volt) & a new fridge in the camper. No powersteering, no power brakes! A 1 tonne with std steering & brakes? The motor is unmodified-points dist & all that. It has the spot for a 2nd battery. The guy's father-in-law owned it, stored it in a machine shed for its lifetime, then died & he got it. He's had it for 6 years & has driven it once to the lake. He's asking 2500CDN & will take 2000. I'd LOVE to make a car hauler but its a short wheelbase. But I'd also love a camper, BUT do I need it? Is the above $ figure in line, a bad deal or a smokin deal? Anything I need to watch for? Thanks for the advice.

I posted one of these last week on the trucks for sale board. It not mine, I just drove by it and looked it over. They were asking $2000 for it. A 1969 model that has seen many better days. Cab corners gone, dented door and fender. All original, I didn't open the hood. It had a 350 with an automatic and bucket seats. Gold interior, white exterior. The roof of the camper maybe needed work, definitely was NOT stored inside. Hope this helps.

Here is a link to the 68 C30 motorhome I have for sale: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php3?t=170729
I am asking $2700 US (that's like $18,500 canadian, eh?), and if nothing else will give you something to compare with.

This one is free...but no engine and there is a huge hole in the roof and the camper is really trashed! It is the same model as the one Chris H. has for sale but Chris's looks to be well worth the money. If it is a runner...GO FOR IT!
