Setback!
Had been doing short runs in low range--time to try it out in 2HI-nothing !!!--4HI--nothing but grinding noise also. (this in orangeuavol's Blazer). So back out comes the transfer case. Take a look at a "rebuilt" NP205 he bought.

Wow! That's some serious wear and tear! And a "rebuild?" Shameful.
Most used, untouched NP205s will have less wear and tear and last much longer. ![]()
