Unhappy Sigh, Why can't I be rich

I'd have gone after this 68 burb. Did a board member get it?

That is nice, but $8200 isn't that much money. It's not exactly pocket change either, guess it just depends on how bad someone wants it.

I bet he paid the body shop $8,000 for the work they did + everything else. That looked like a good deal to me.

MMmm, that DOES look nice. If it is represented prperly, that was pretty cheap too.
Something about this engine don't sit right with me....

I think the fact that everything on it was painted...kinda raises a flag...

H*ll, that is a good price if it is as nice as claimed. I also kinda wonder about all the sheet metal being chainged out.

True I'm going off the specs for my '67, but the only stock o/d trans I know of is a 3spd with the mechanical/vacuum-shifted o/d on the tailhousing.

the engine

the engine has overspray all over the hoses and alt bracket, for how damn nice the outside looks youd think they would be a little more careful with the spray bomb

Looks good in the pictures. Maybe i'm just paranoid about ebay selling trucks, but that burb seems shady as an oak tree.

Looks good in the pics, but I'd sure want to see it up close before bidding on it. even if it was given to him, he probably has more than $8200 in it for sure.

And no A/C. Rare factory o/d trans???
