Got ambitious today and cleaned out the heater box on the 70. 4 deadmice and a bushel of mousenest later, I have air blowing out where it is supposed to. Then I got really brave and installed the OE radio and speaker set-up I found. After removing the defrost hoses, the heater controls and the ashtray bracket the radio finally went in. Don't know if I put the speaker in the right place, but the holes lined up, so on it went.

Yup, I belive that's the stock speaker location if you don't have the speaker hole in the dash as aparently some have. Looks good.

heat coming out of the heater is always nice! Are you going to get rid of the ammo-box/stereo compartment, or just have the ability to listen to AM & FM at the same time

The OE radio is basically for looks/decoy. Looking for a "Y" adaptor for the antenna lead so I can listen to the AM, just for kicks.

That is a grab bar for the old lady that used to own it. She is so short and wide, she can't get in without something to pull herself up with.

Hey,when you find that Y adapter for the antenna let me know where you got it. I need a couple of them for my trucks with hidden radios. The stock radios make great decoys and look great in the dash...be nice to have them be functional also.

I'm pretty sure Radio Shack carries them. I just have not taken time to get out their catalog.

Metra 40-uv44 motorola-type antenna Y-splitter for 2 radios.

"Google" it and you'll find places with all sorts of adapters.

Couldn't find that type of splitter at the "SellOut" Radioshack. That store severely sucks now.
