unlevel lift kit

Hey all
I have a 4" rough country kit on my 87 lwb and the front end is higher than the rear looks kinda funny, any one else had this. Can I add a single add a leaf to level it? The add a leaf says 1 1/2" to 2" lift, just wondering will this be to much. I know "go measure it" well just wanted to see if any one else had and fixed this problem.
Thanks in advance
and God bless
Mike

I don't know about your model truck but on the 67-72 trucks the rear fender opening is a different size than the front. My 72 K10 looks low in the back but if you place a level on top of the bedside the rearend is actually higher. Another thing to take into consideration is did you replace springs front and rear, or did you only replace the front and use blocks in the rear? The lift springs are 4" taller than your factory height so if you had sagging springs your lift may be more than 4". If you combined this with a rear block under a sagging spring you are only 4" taller than the sagging spring not 4" taller than factory. Anyway! Yes fullsize chevy trucks often look low in the rear. Some really are and some just look like it.

I just put the rough co. 4" on my 71, and it's the opposite. It's got more rake than I would like. I used the front spr/rear blocks, so kinda exp. your problem.
I'm going by visual when it's sitting on flat ground, not measurements (it's kinda hard to see in the pic). If you went with all 4 springs you could add 1" blocks in the back to level it.
To check out the effect of the add-a-leaf or block, put it on level ground and measure distance from rear bumper to ground. Then jack it up 1",2" until you like the look, and go from there.
