Does anyone use a bedliner??

I've got a real nice '65 GMC longbed that I use occasionally for odd jobs. Owned it for 12 years and 2years ago put a '74 350, auto trans, power steering etc. Replaced the bed with planed down treated lumber. The truck was painted about that same time.
Rugs and carpets are ok to prevent scratching the bed somewhat, but a bedliner would be nice to sometimes.
Has anyone ever found a bedliner that works for our trucks?

Bedliner trap water under them and can rot out your floor, if it's a drop in.

That is the only thing that stopped me from buying a truck one time, is the bottom of the bed was rotted out.

I've thought about water catching under the liner. Wonder if its possible to cut out the bottom of a liner to expose the wood somewhat? I don't know if that would destroy the rigidty(sp?) of the total liner? The sides and wheel wells of the truck would be protected. I'm just concerned about spraying that material on the bed cause once you've done it's probably there for good!

They have something that you can put on it that takes the bedliner off.

Thanks for the comments. I'm going with the type suggested and stay away from the insert. It's fairly expensive to get this process done by a shop like Rhino, so I'm also checking out diy. Classic Trucks had an article on diy I found. Hope to get this done in next couple of months and will post pics of my truck. Pretty proud of it!

DIY should be pretty easy. A friend did it and said it was just like painting.
