Well I have the same brand of 2.5 in. spindles on my 67. Can't say much for alignment cause I haven't had mine done yet. I too would like some input on this topic.

Sometimes a 4" front drop requires longer upper a-arm studs to correct alignment problems. We have had to have a machine shop make longer studs for 4-5" front drops in the past. It happens with all spindles not just western spindles when you go lower than 3" drop.

Angry

well i measured the upper ball joint hole on both spindels and there is 3/16 to 1/4 inch difference in where the hole is drilled in relation too the center line of the spindel from the drivers side to the passenger side spindel.so if the pass.was the same as the drivers it should have enough stud to get in alignment. plus the drivers side only has 1/4 of shims to align it, so it must be in the spindels.not a happy camper so we'll see if the vendor will exchange them.

I have a western chassis spindles, but I haven't got them aligned yet. Hopefully this isn't a spindle defect. I will have details as soon as I get mine aligned.

I've got western chassis on my beater & it aligned w/no probs. If there is a measurable difference between the two spindles I would say that a bad one got past QC. Give them a call w/the dimensions of each & see if they're within spec(sounds like they aren't) or contact the distributer that you bought them from.

WESTERN is lifetime warranty so you should not have a problem if they are defective, We sell them and this is the first time I have heard of a problem.

well i got them off of the truck, they don't seem to have a mesurable difference, maybe a 1/8 of an inch between the right and the left.it must be multiplying as the parts go together.i'll find out this weekend. taking them back to vendor and i'll check with another set of spindels to see how much of a difference there is.
