Drive shaft length?

I am putting my 71 to a short frame. What is the drive shaft length for a short tail auto trans? I currently have a TH350, but also have a TH400 that I want to put in. Will the same shaft work for both trans (I know the yoke is different).?

try www.tciauto.com for trans lenghts. i think you will find the short 350t(6" tail), is 11/16" shorter than a short tail 400T,& thats enough that the same lenght shaft wont work with a 1 pcs shaft. on a 2 pc shaft , with a slipyolk in the middle, i have spilt the difference tween the trans & center slip......& swapped a 3spd stick for a 400T, & also the other way without problems. crazyL
