Does anyone know where this door emblem would have been located on a '68?

It would be mounted on the door.
Kinda hard to see, but look in the middle of the door just below the window opening.

I did a quick look with a tape measure along the bodyline from the front of the door.
The measurements are in inches
The emblem itself is concave to fit centered into this area from top to bottom.
This will give you a ballpark estimate to get you started.

Thanks for the responses John and Hutch! You guys gave me the answer I was looking for. I've got the holes in the door but I wasn't sure if that was where the door emblem had been or if a previous owner had mounted something like a side view mirror there. That will be an easy fix and one less thing to worry about.
