I have a 1988 10 Suburban (Superban) with a 5.7L t.b.i and a 700R4. The axles were tossed and some '72 20 midyear 8 lug axles installed. I would like to install an 8 inch lift suspension kit without blocks and toss out the 5.7L for a 7.4L with 98 bracket style serp set up ('76 block, 9.5 compression, fuel injection w/ dfi fuel managment). I also thought about a 6.0L as well.
I'm an auto tech with ASE certs, so putting it together is no problem, it's the fundage that is holding me back at times. That's why I am taking this project very slowly. Hopefully by finding this site, I'll be able to get my project running faster. JD |
