Drug the junkers home today
Here are the pics I promised. They aren't much to look at, but they were CHEAP. I still have one to get. What do you think?

Well the rollbar isn't original, but man what a steal, you are so lucky, JMHO

Are you going to part anything out? If so, I would be interested in a set of original seats and the front and rear carpet strips. Send me an email when you make a decision. Thanks
By the way, you gotta save the JIMMY

Looks like you have a pretty good starting point to build a nice blazer. B.B.

There are actually two roll bars, which one is not original? Or are they both aftermarket.....Oh, I just noticed that the second is not pictured. I'll try to get one.

Nice score! They don't look like they are in that bad of shape from the pictures.
I don't think either of the roll bars are original. The first one pictured looks like a smittybilt. The second looks like it is either home made or a modified pickup roll bar. Does it go through the floor?

I didn't look close enough and now it's dark. I'll check later. As you can tell, I don't know ANYTHING about blazers/jimmys. I usually build trucks and musclecars, but I've always wanted one of these blazers.

If the one in the first picture has the rear "legs" of the roll bar bolted to the main hoop, it is most likely a smittybilt roll bar. On the "original" roll bars, the rear legs bolted to the front of the wheel tubs.
I'd bet between all of them, you could probably build a nice rig, and have a lot of left over parts to help "fund" the build.

That's the plan. I really want a 2wd though, but I will build a 4wd since the chances of finding a 2wd frame might be a little slim. The 4th blazer that I haven't brought home yet is a 2wd, but it has been hit really hard and the frame is probably toast. The only reason I'm getting it is the chance the frame MIGHT be okay. It has no suspension and has been setting on the ground for years. It will be a real PITA to get it home.

Other than missing some parts, none of the ones pictured look too bad. A great find for sure.

Damn, sweet find there. None of them look all that bad at all to me. They will combine to make 1 or a couple of sweet Blazers.

Hey David, congrats again on your find. Looks like you have all the pieces to make what ever you want. Wanted to ask if you were going to sell the roll bar from the red topless blazer or if Donkey69 already laid claim to it. Let me know when you get a chance.
Thanks, Scott |

Thanks you guys, I feel better now about dragging them home. I was feeling like maybe I made a mistake about the time I was changing the fifth or sixth wheel and tire, lol.

here's a 2wd rig that might work for a solid frame. Might as well add one to your collection...
