woo hoo!!!

Last fall I bought my son a '69 long fleet 2wd that was in pretty nice condition. It was going to be a father/son project that he would drive when he got his license. We, I mean "I" have it almost finished & now he decided he's bored with it. He's not much of a gearhead & wanted something a little more like the other kids in school. (kids geeez)

To make a long story short, I asked him after school today if he would rather have my '96 s10 & he said YES. Guess I just got myself a nice old truck to drive for an everyday vehicle. Im pretty excited about ending up with the '69. I should have it on the road in a week or so & Ill post some pics of it. Thanks for listening, back to the garage...corn

um

yea

who wants an s10 over a classic c10? works out for you, easier to trust yourself with the c10 rather than him.

I think we both feel like we got the better end of the deal. To be honest the S10 never felt right for me. Ive always liked the "hands on" kind of vehicles better. I think my son is going to be more of a "gas & go" kind of guy. LOL...corn

Take him to a cruise night....let him drive the S10...and you drive the 69...park side by side....that will set him straight....and let me know if it works.

The new motor is REAL close to fire time & Ive got the dash almost back in one piece. I installed new gauges & matched up the speedo(thanks to Krue) & fuel gauge. Ill post a few pics of it tomorrow, I mean later today. I'd better get some sleep...corn
