What are the differences, in any respect, between all the years of these suburbans

thats pretty broad, any particular aspect your interested in? 67-72 vs 92-99? 2wd vs 4wd? It'd take the whole page to list off all the diferences...

That covers a lot of territory. Suburbans go back befor 1967. Are you talking about '67-'72 or other years also? '67-'72 I believe were the only years with the three door as far as I know. Yes, this would take a full page.

Yea my fault I meant the 67-72 4wd's... mostly major changes between the models

AFAIK, the burbs shared the front clip model updates that the pickups had.

Trim and mechanical changes coincided with the pickups.The mid-range trim group was the highest level offered(no Sierra or Cheyenne).A/C units had some variation,not sure exactly how that breaks down.

For A/C I believe that '71 was the last year for the roof mounted tunnel that you could get. Of course you could also get regular front A/C. In '72, I think they went with a front and back A/C setup.

The '72 burbs do have the best oem A/C setup with the roof air option.

For A/C, the '72 system is superior to the earlier A/C systems with the "roof Channel" because the '72's roof air unit is simply a second evaporator and blower. So, with a '72 A/C system, you have cool air being blown thru the evap under the dash and the evap in the roof air unit. Direct cooling at the front and rear of the burb. R12 cooling, as well, so it's cooler air than retrofit 134a units, if functioning properly. I can think of three drawbacks:

1. R12 is very expensive and probably will remain expensive. A full charge on a roof air A/C system would probably run >$200.
2. The non-A/C firewall (like in your non A/C rig) must be modified to fit the evaporator housing that differs from the heater core housing.
3. Sourcing a complete, '72 burb's A/C system with roof air unit would likely prove difficult. Just the complete, meticulously removed '72 A/C system withOUT roof air went for ~600 on ebay recently. Whether you can find one in a wrecking yard might drive your decision making.

OTOH, the aftermarket units won't cool as well, but they are less hassle to source and install. Probably cheaper when all the little parts are added up.

Edit: I've heard that the '72 roof air units were also used in subsequent year burbs, but I've yet to verify this in regards to mounting points and hose hookups. I'm inclined to think that 73up burbs had the exact same unit since A/C stuff is not that varied.

On your`69 the front springs/mounts are the same up to`72.The 67/68s are different,the same as earlier years.71/72s have disc brakes up front as well as open knuckles.The axles are interchangable.Tell us more about your Suburban.
