Door Adjustment
The 72 pass door has to be pushed down a little to close correctly and requires some "slamming" effort. The top of the latch on the door is hitting the striker plate on the cab. See the picture.
How do I adjust this. Easily... Last edited by crustysarge; 09-10-2005 at 06:34 AM. |

Adjust the striker plate on the cab. Raise the striker plate by loosening the 4 bolts and move it up. I would only loosen the bolts slightly and tap the striker plate upwards with a hammer. The striker plate can move many directions and they can be a real pain in the ... so only adjust it slightly or your problem can get worse. If your not comfortable doing this bring it to a body shop. They can adjust it in minutes.
