I have a 700R4 that I bought from a board member that he had rebuilt that I was going to use in my chevelle. I want to sell for 500 that is what I gave for it or trade it for a good rebuilt 200R4. this trans have a stall TQ converter, bowtie overdrive lockup kit installed and a shift kit.

I thought that it was close to my hometown. Welll…If had the bones, that trans would be gone. It’s just the gem I’m looking for to add to my Mad Science truck project. Got too many irons in the fire right now; so I’m gonna stand down.

I might be interested . Is the tranny set up for a speedo cable hookup or electronic speedo ? Did you ever install it in anything . Please PM me the board members name it came from as I was interested in one a few months ago and believe it is probably the same one . Thanks Frank

Yes there is a way to tell, look on the right hand side just above the pan at the rear of the case and you should see some letters followed by numbers. Post them and we'll see what it is.

the only numbers I see is 8676358. do you mean right hand side standing in front or the rear of the trans? on the side with the dip stick or not?

Yes on the dipstick side just before you turn the corner to the back there is a little flat surface about an inch and a half long.
