priceing info

Guy up the street has a 90 burb forsale. Its in really good shape rust wise is a couple of spots but nothing bigger then a quarter and just surface. The paint is also in very good shape. Inside is really clean 3rd row seating and it runs and all power options work. Its a very nice burb but it has 123,000 miles on it and the guy wants 3,500 OBO. I took his # and told him I would call if i was intrested in making a offer. I have checked kelly blue book and it list on there for 3,000. To me its a 2,500 truck. Any ideas?

Thanks
Jason

The 89 I just bought had just over 220,000 miles. Of course, it had tranny issues but I have $1200 in it.
Well he says OBO, so offer $2500 and go from there. Does it appear to be well maintained? I checked a local trading mag and the price range for the 88-91 4wd burbs was between $2000 and $5500. Of course the $5500 was for a lifted, new tires and all the bolt ons. So around here 3-3.5K is not bad.

Yes it does. Its also a 1500. They have had it for sale in the past and still have it. So who knows what it would take to buy it. Im going to call him later today and offer him 2500 and see what happens.

I got my 91 R2500 with 454, no rust, slight dent on the door from the passenger side mirror mount (those big trailer hauling ones), 156,000 miles in April for $2600. It is a 3/4 ton (of course) so it doesnt have the 3rd row seat... doesn't even have any carpet behind the 2nd row seat, all truck bed. Looks like it had been repainted from the drip edges down because the hood and roof is the faded blue and the rest is newer paint.
I would tell him that the best he can do is $2500 based on book value.
Really anymore KBB is about useless, NADA is the book of choice for most people and dealerships (since they rate trade in lower and buying from a car lot higher)

In the past 30 years about 90% of Fords are still on the road, the other 10% made it home.
