Business cards representing the board..
What would be the possibilities of some one creating a business card that represents the board? Time after time I see trucks in parking lots and in passing that I’d like to invite to the board but either don’t have anything to write with or no time to do so. Each person could print the cards out on their PCs or order them from the board for a nominal fee.
Just food for thought?

The Board information could be on one side of the card and the members information (if you want to) on the other side of the card.

This has been discussed before, and my cards are as quoted above, among other stuff on the list is Liz's board, Tim's website, Josh and Liz's Club, etc.

I think this is a great idea, especially if you are trying to promote CGITC. A format that would be recognizeable anywhere should be easy to come up with. What do you think MODS?

There is a site, vistaprint.com, that has "free", well almost free cards in several styles. I have not been there lately, but maybe there is one that could be used. I think it is $10 for 250 cards printed in one of their styles. A good deal for cards.

I've met people with vistaprint cards before - they're pretty nice. On the back is a little plug for vistacards but it would work and is the best deal out there. You just pay for shipping basically.

I would be interested in doing this myself. If we could come up with a basic template for everyone to use to make their own it would be a great way to get more truck lovers in here. I've been thinkin about getting some printed up also...

GOTPRINT.com. They have several templates to use or you could make one up yourself, and the cards are relativley cheap also.

barn9-that looks pretty darn good I might say, I think we should submit 3-5 designs like yours for example and vote on them to see which one everybody likes, then use the winners design for our new card. Of course I think we should get Josh's approval though, what do you think?

Guess I should have added that they could be plugged in to Paint and finished out to individual specs, like this, hehee!

I tried this Txfirfighter even sent me the above graphic. Something did not work for the software the company I selected though. Had a management change and the price break I had was gone. Never picked it back up. Like the above! If it could be put in a format for me to print out I'd do it.
Edit: Well not that graphic! The one prior to that! Last edited by chickenwing; 09-17-2005 at 05:48 PM. |

haha...you sure do have a funny name LB...or is it Claud? I think I put about 100 fliers out a few years ago at the Iola Old Car Show I go to in July, never got any results (at least none used me as a referal.) I printed some up last year too...and forgot em....it's hell getting old.

Took one of the logo's and modified to look like this. I can put a picture of anyone of my trucks so someone if interested can find me and talk about the site.
