Question How do you check your Votage Gauge

As long as i am chasing down all things electrical, does anyone know how to check the votage gauge to ensure it is working properly. Mine stays dead center between the "D" and "C" all the time...even when the battery is not connected.

chances are that gauge isnt any good just like 90% of the rest of em in these trucks. the stock gauge is an amp meter not a volt meter. volt meter is better in my opinion much easier to tell if the charging system is working right

I checked continuity on the printed circuit and it was bad from the left nut on the back of the gauge up to the dash plug-in.

And if it is bad on the printed circuit, the only way to fix that is get a new one, or jumper around it with another wire.

Jhow66, I checked the two fuses...they are good. The guy I bought the refurbished dash from is sending me another printed circuit board.
