motor oil in brake booster
Well I finaly found a truck thats worth working on, when I popped the lid off the brake booster it was full of oil. Could this hurt any of my brake parts? NO WONDER MY BRAKES DIDN'T WORK.

I am going to take a WILD GUESS and say someone connected the vacuum brake hose into the valve cover. It should be connected to a vacuum source like the rear of the intake manifold or the bottom of the carburetor. Just an uneducated wild guess.

Is the oil in your master cylinder reservoir, or is it inside the vacuum booster itself?

brake fluid is polyglycol based petroleum will make all the seals in the system swell....new master cylinder calipers wheel cylinders anything with rubber seals....and you will need to completely flush the lines with brake clean and compressed air....

Re: motor oil in brake booster
I have the same problem, but it is the rear seal in the back of the master cyl that is leaking. Some fluid looks like it went into the vacuum booster. We'll see what happens after I change the MC.
