70-72 5 bolt in a 60-66 coil chassis?????
will a 70-72 5 bolt coil rear bolt into the 60-66 coil chassis?
if so,,,,,, anybody got a 5 bolt 3.08 rear for sale? PM me with your parts if you got 'em I wan'a buy _

I think it will physically bolt in, but it is slightly wider. Brian

The 71&72 were the only trucks that were 5 lug. The rear end will bolt up to the 63-66 frame. You will have to change the bracket that the panhard bar bolts to. We had to do that to my wifes 64. The 71,72 rear end is slightly wider than the 63-70 rear end.

Don't change the bracket, just use the panhard bar from the 72.

You HAVE to change the panhard bracket on 64 and earlier trucks. I learned all about it on my 64.
The later 65 and up frame bracket bolts on though.

Sorry! I didn't look at the year close enough. Those late and early year built trucks can really mess you up also.
