My first show and I came in 4th-I got robbed!

Since I got my truck back I've strived to get it to this local show. I have no headlights, no brake lights, and I didn't get a chance to have my rhino lining done. BUT I still wanted to bring it to this show since i worked so hard to get it here. I came in 4th and no trophy. They let some 2002 Dodge truck in the modified class that mine was in. It was all factory except a aftermarket stereo and a bunch(too much) chrome on the outside of it. It won 2nd place. 3rd went to a 90 Chevy 454 which was nice and 1st place went to a 50's model Ford which deserved 1st.

Well, it was fun and it was my first show that I've ever entered anything that I owned.

NICE truck. Things are meant to be the way they are. There might be a time that you get 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, where you thought there was other trucks nicer then yours. I'd be happy as Hell if I got 4th..

I have a question. Where did you get the blue tubing/hose or whatever it is in your engine compartment.

NICE JOB!!
Not anything against Dodge, But how often do people come up to him and strike up conversation about a "new" truck.
I get stopped by people who want to talk about the old cars or trucks I own, and the are all rough. You should have at least got a plaque!

I'd rethink the blue tubing. I think it takes away from the detail of the truck.
That truck is a very nice piece of work

I would agree sometimes less is more, it does tend to make the engine comp. look very busy the cleaner an engine comp. looks the more appealing to most judges Shows can be sometimes very frustrating ya bust your tail spend crazy amounts of money and ZIP, You have a very nice Classic Truck and Im sure many seeing it would love to own it! Nice job

Not to thrash on a very nice truck but the blue tubing has to go. If it was just black you would score alot more positive comments. The blue really takes away from the truck.

Congrats on the 4th place.

Beautiful truck! I agree that the blue tubing is cool, but too much of a good thing... Think of it Biblically. "Everything in moderation."
You have GOT to let me know how you did that interior! It is awesome! I want a newer interior sooo bad for my truck, and your's looks like just what I'm looking for. Could you please PM me some info on it?

Yellow69 Truck looks really nice man. I think you did a great job on it and if you placed in the top 5 for the first time you ever built or showed a truck I think that is great. I probably will never even place that high. Looks good I like it. Congratulations.

I can't believe they let a Dodge compete! That sucks, you've got a good looking truck. Remember every dog has it's day!

I got the blue tubing at a swap meet. I like it so it'll stay for a while. Under my hood looks like crap. I detailed it with some black high heat paint and taped it off, but the blue at least keeps the attention off the firewall and the crappy inner fenders(which might have to go with those 20's).

I got the carpet as a gift. I think they got it off a guy on ebay-A1 Carpeting?

The steering wheel is the Grant F/X Splash hard wheel. The color is almost identical. A lot of people asked me if I had it painted to match the truck.

Seats are out of a 2000 Chevy Silverado.

I entered my 47 Chevy in the "custom" class once and got beat by two brand new ricers because they were perfect. Of course they were perfect, the damn things were new!

Congrats on the 4th place.

Nice truck. I think it's a show stopper. You should have at least beat out the newer models.

I loved the truck up until I saw the blue mess under the hood. If you like it, hey it's your truck and do what you want. But dang that just ruins the truck for me.

If you insist of having blue to distract the eyes, at least organize the blue wires and make them flow around things. Or just take it out, clean up your bay and take first place from now on.
