1975 Blazer Questions?

I have aquired a 1975 Blazer w/a 400 short block. It runs great but the body is in very bad shape. I am thinking of parting it out Should the front axle be a Dana 44? If so can I put all the brake parts on my 1970 4x4. Including master cylinder. Also I thought it would have a 205 transfer case. But the shift pattern is 4loc, 4, N, 2, 2loc. Is this a different transfer case.

thanks for the help.

Factory front axle is a Dana 44. It will have a gear tag attached to the bottom gear cover bolt telling you the ratio. The shift pattern you refer to is the NP 203, which was standard on all 75 Jimmy/Blazers equipped with auto transmissions. It is a chain driven unit. Full time 4 wheel drive.

Dont know if the brake parts will swap though. I know little about the earlier ones.

You could swap the whole axle out pretty easy.
