MPI almost done.....Progress pic's
Thanks to FROST89434 we put in almost 20 hours installing this Edelbrock Kit. We encounted some slight problems. We found the directions to be very poorly written and the pic's weren't detailed enough. This kit comes with 99% of the equipment needed to do the job. The biggest problem was after finishing the install and trying to get the engine started it shower an error code of " no comm". Looking into the code book it says to install the chip. That sure would have been nice to know before starting!!!! Enjoy the pic's.
They are not in order sorry. |

The truck won't run until I get the chip from edelbrock. I'm hoping I can fax in the spec's on the cam. The kit was $2100.00 from Summit. The kit included: the manifold which was already built, electric fuel pump, fuel pump block off plate, o2 sensor, map sensors, extra rubber fuel hose. I needed: intake gaskets, rtv gasket maker and some misc hardware to mount the computer.

Looks good...too bad the prices are so damn rediculous on these setups. You can get an LS1 already injected for less than this

Lookin' good - the chip issue had to be a let down after that great progress.

Nice project Scotty. I like it. Was a chip supposed to come with the kit or do you have to buy an additional chip? Was there one or two O2 sensors? If it was one sensor, what were the specs for the location and installation? Wondering if it could be installed on the H-pipe to get a consistant reading?
