Ground for the Radio?
I think I have a loose ground on the radio, it cut in and out for a while, now it is just out. It is an aftermarket in the original place with only one speaker. If he used the same Ground as was on the original where would it be and what is the easiest way to get there. If someone could save me about an hr of exploration that would be great!!
Thanks O Yea, 71 C10, 3 spd , 350 with an AC Cab. SWB but I dont think it would be grounded to the bed

I ran a ground to the dash for mine. I pinned it under the screw that holds the ashtray in.
My amps are under the seat and are grounded to the cab floor.

Under my A/C controls panel, I have two screws into the dash. I used one of those to ground to. Then I mounted a 3-gauge panel using those holes (not sure if they're stock?) for temp/oil pressure/ammeter.

I'd take a meter or test light and check power first! Most radios will have a yellow constant 12v and a red switched 12v! It must have both of these powers to operate! If it has both powers just reground it to anything metal and you should be fine.

Any idea where the Stock Ground would run to? I think I only have switched 12 v but I will have to look, its an older am fm cassette with no clock or digital features.. spin the dial to get the station. Is there an easy way to the radio to check the wiring? I am guessin since I have a factory AC it is going to be a bit of a pain.
