Rear 5 lug rotors and other parts...

Ok, so I have my calipers, which should work really well. I can fab the brackets.

What rotors do you guys suggest for my rear disk converstion?

I thought about a 95 Caprice. SHould be a ten bolt rear and 5 on 5" lug pattern.

I briefly thought about switching to a 5 on 4.75" bolt pattern to run Vette stuff...

I've heard about using a '77 Lincoln Continental rear rotor. They are a 5 on 5 bolt pattern. Anybody else?

The 77? - 78 - 79 Cadd SeVille (rear wheel drive) had 5 on 5" rotors. I believe the FWD SeVilles went to 4&3/4" .

The Caprice will fit . The Seville rotors cost less but require minor machining of the center hole to fit the truck axle. I am going to use the Seville rotor and a GM metric caliper on mine.

Well, that's what I am building, but I don't want to spend the $400+

So I bought the calipers with ebrake from ebay for 40.00 for a pair, shipped with pads.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

they're 4" from bolt hole to bolt hole.

I also have a set of the old El Dorado rear calipers, which are 5.5" bolt hole to bolt hole.

Going to a boneyard for the rest of the ebrake linkage.

Rotors are 39.00 each from Vato Zone. 1995 Caprice with rear disk.

Need a caliper bracket, thinking about a Lou Feger weld on caliper bracket:

http://www.loufegersracing.com/weldon.html

They (Vato Zone) aslo have the Crapice caliper bracket???

http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBr...%7ENONE%7C%7EW

Just wondering if there's a bolt on bracket that's available??? Anyone know if the stock Vato Zone Dorman bracket works?

There is a front disc bolt on bracket but I can't find my link.I never looked to see if they do a rear.Maybe a search would turn one up.

What caliper is that?

I am grabbing a complete caprice rear end for the disks.

Should be a bolt on fit.

Okay, 383Stroker, let me get this right. Your complete rear end disc brake setup is off of 95 caprice?

Hey, inthuwind, thanks, the post was getting kind of confusing. Did he give you the specs on the bracket? I would be interested in the specs or buying a pair from him.

It's the same caliper and rotor that comes on a mid 90's Impala SS. I ordered the parts new from GM.

Looks like a stock bracket (with 2 bolts) bolted to a fabbed bracket that bolts to the axle flange?

Ebrake?

I made the backing plate that the caliper bracket bolts to. Here is another picture of it. No ebrake with this setup. The ebrake is made into the stock backing plate.
