A little hacking here and there some flip flops, turn overs and reverses. weld it all together and get this.

This may not be legal everywhere but just flip the plate door and make the insert longer and the tag can be read from the top. In North Carolina we have to have tags on tailers so this should work.

Good job. I plan to do the same, but will probably just drop the jack with ECE for their hidden hitch.

I think the flip down door came off a mid 80's GM like a Regal or Gran prix maybe.......can't remember.

How much is the ECE ones?

I used a unit from a 94 Chev and I flipped the end peices, and reversed left to right, then flipped the bar and it is a perfect fit to be behind the plate, I just don't have the flip down plate yet. I only had to drill one hole in the frame per side to mount it with bolts. If I want, i could still make it work for the newer trucks. Maybe you have one laying around, try it.

The only thing is that you have to reach under thebumper to get at the pin and the hooks.

I think just about any rear fuel fill GM car will work.
