The blazer tank is in!
so much progress!
got her from gmc pauls, this is the poly version instead of steel. i thought was ordering a steel tank with a poly coating but it makes no difference really. the fit was excellent and it looks like it's right in place. i got a long/wide bed and that means you have to cut that cross-sill under the bed, so that was probably the hardest part next to drilling 3 holes while upside down. pics ![]() it really doesn't hang that low in my opinion. the truck is at stock height for now. ![]() ![]() ![]() there's the filler and cut cross-sill. |

Were those "nipples" part of the tank or did you have to add them? I'm assuming one is to vent the filler neck and the other is to vent the tank.... how are you going to vent the tank without getting dirt in it? Looks good BTW! I'm leaning toward the poly tank myself.... NEVER have to worry about rust in the tank again.... especially if the truck isn't driven often and the same gas sits in it for months at a time....

Looks good, a word of advice, and I have yet to do this myself, on the one
side of the tank, at least mine is only on one side, the straps fit kinda funny like your is pictured, pic's 2 and 3, run you a piece of steel pipe just slightly larger than the carriage bolts, it helps with over / under tightening them ![]()

well the nuts only go up as far as my socket was long, but even with it not fully bolted in, so far it fits with very little movement when i tried to shove it. i have to bring it back down and put some rubber strips in there to keep squeeking down and to protext the tank from rubbing.
