Truck cap fitting. 88 to a 84

Im looking to find out what size a 84 bed measures for a topper. And will a 88 fit mine . So Im looking to see what the top of the box measures . {will a 88 fiberglass top fit my 84 box}?? These are both long beds for the record.

If no one else has posted when I get home (6pm cdt), I'll measure my '85 lwb and let you know. It stays at home during the week (9 mpg) .

Wait a minute. I guess you already have the measurements for your 84.
I don't suppose it will help you any if I give measurements for my '85.
You need someone to give measurements for the '88. doh.
Just wake me when it's time to eat.

Im pretty sure the '88 bed is 2" narrower in the rear than all of the older trucks.
