You do know as a seller you can go on to the bid history page and zap his bid if tis going to be trouble? I have a few a had to do that to...Like a thunderbird sc supercharged 3.8 motor...I got a bid of 675 from the us,then it jumped to 1100 from austruaila...I cannot ship the motor that far...zap it!!!!

tell you what guys. anyone on the board that wins the auction, i'll wave the shipping costs. if the carb goes over $40 and a board member gets it, shipping is free to you too.

Does the 454 qualify for the free shipping

Nice setup. Was this purchased earlier this year from a board member? It looks like one that was. Just curious

yeah, i got this one in MI from bigdaddycmu. i haven't done anything to it except pull the head and keep it lubed up good. i want to use it in my 71, but i'm about to part the whole truck out and buy one that is done and make a few personal changes (wheels etc.). i have no time to get anything done lately and i'm about to get into some rental property so time will get worse. pretty soon i'll have a ton of nice parts on here and most are new in the boxes so be looking.

I thought so.

I'll keep an eye out. My chassis is 95% complete, now to search for a nice powertrain and get started on the metal work

If I had the cash I would try to get the BB off you. I've decided thats what I want in my truck eventually. If the stands stay within reach of my wallet I'm going to bid on them (ebay name: skunk200).

what storage space right now i've got an 11x24 garage in the basement . we're gonna build an oversized 2 car garage on our other land and put a 830 sf. apartment over top of it. i'll be staying in it for about 3 years (just me and the missus so i don't need alot of living space). we're gonna rent this house out so we can get building on our new house alot sooner. this way we'll have 2 rentals + our own home all paid for by age 39 .

hey Craig, how many are planning to be at the cookout? you know i'll be there if i can make it. two more weeks man.

I had a set of those stands I was selling on eBay a couple of months ago and he bid on mine also. After the biddng got up over about 60 bucks he gave up. I did sell him a set of hubcaps about 3 years ago and got my money OK. I ran into him at the Pate swap meet in Fort Worth in April and talked to him. Y'all be carefull with him.

I think somebody needs to put down that these frame mounts are only one piece of the puzzle. The actual rubber mount that goes with this has been discontinued and the only place I could find them was obsolete chevy for $175 a whack X's 2 for a total of $350!!!!! These frame mounts go for $50-75 a pair, I just wonder if anyone realizes what it takes to use them? I have used the clamshells from a 73 and up and they work fine and allow for headers to be used. Just wanted to add that bit of info in there, but not to keep anyone from buying them. I just want to educate if I can because that is a lot of money just for the factory look ($400ish)

Thanks. I will keep that in mind

I still have a BBC in mind, mounts and everything are already there, but if a nice LS2 setup comes around I may be swayed

What was the part number? I thought the 72 and later were better because of the design. Anti torque if I remember. A couple of companies also sell an aftermarket tubular style that uses the later style motor mounts.
