Post your 81-87 pics

I am undecided if I want to keep my 85 or sell it. If I keep it I plan to drop it, paint it (dark grey, black, white, or some other color), and put in the 94 LT1/4l60E I have. I am looking for some inspiration and we seem to be lacking an 81-87 post your pics thread (or even a 73-87 thread).

Here are my contributions. The first one is mine.

Mike

Oh you editted the order on me. I still think you should keep it, it could look just like the one that I thought it was! You have a solid foundation that all you need.

Mine was originally the same blue as the truck you’re referring to (now the second pic). Unfortunately I got that pic from a thread where the owner was announcing it had just been stolen.

I've owned my truck for 6 years now and it's still not hardly contribution worthy to a pic thread...

That sucks! Stick with it if you want the finished product. A project is so rewarding once others can see what you saw in your head all along! I haven't done a bunch to this truck. I have had my share of projects and I have regretted getting rid of most of them. Just my 2 cents! Good luck whether you keep it or not!

Well, this is the best "together" picture I have of it...

The problem is, it's usually in pieces, and that's not something most people want to see in a "Post pics of these trucks" thread.

Here's my "new" truck, an 86 GMC Sierra. Bought it near the beginning of this summer.

Here's my "new" truck with my old truck parked ahead of it. The old truck is an 85 Chevy Silverado.

This picture is under the hood of my "new" truck.

I feel your pain, bro. I have had mine for about six years as well and it has not run for almost five of that.

Re: Post your 81-87 pics

I took these pictures when I picked this up from the shop for a buddy a while back. It's very understated in my opinion. You really have to take your time and look at it to appreciate how slick and clean it is. I don't really care for the rims but neither does he. I am trying to talk him into a mild drop and some 17" rims.

Very nice trucks even though they are 2wd's. Partially I am more favorable to the 4wd's and throwing some mud.
