Power Steering pump Pulley....

Hi All,

On trying to remove a P/S pulley, I was able to remove one that is a two groove pully with a nut on the end of the shaft, but now I am trying to remove a single groove pulley where the pump does not have a nut, but the shaft is hollow and has threads. Using a two arm puller, I only end up pulling chunks of metal off of the center of the pulley.

What is the correct way to do this?

napa has a puller for this its about 30.00 but it saves pulleys my advice is to put a hose clamp low on the jaws and tighted helps it not to move, I have pulled many of these when I worked in the parts stores and this worked the best. My .02 worth
