Column Shifter Knob?
Has anyone ever changed the knob on a factory column shifter? The stock smooth black one looks alright, but if I could put an aftermarket ball on it that would be pretty cool too. How would I get the old one off and put the new one on? Thanks!

I just pulled mine off.......It can be kinda tight, but does pull off......The shift handle itself, has a rib edge on it that helps hold the plastic knob on tight......Putting the new one on depends on how the new one is made. Get the old one off first, and then compare the two......

Another trick it to pull your shifter off the column. Then heat it up near the knob with a heat gun. it will pull off much easier. Oh and be sure to wear gloves the shifter arm get a little too hot to hold with bear hands.... believe me I know.
