another temp question

i have an 1971 chevy c-10 pick up 305 or 307 my truck doesn't have an temp gage is there an light i'll take it since i haven't seen one yet its running where it suppose to. but anyone know the standard temp for these motors?

For the longest time my 71 never read any temp, Replaced the thermostat and problem solved.

i don't have an gage in the dash was wondering if i had an idoit light like my oil gage
