steering column confusion

i have a lt gray wire hanging out of lower part of column(tilt column) ,it is not in harness , can any one tell me where it goes , & also where does the fuel tank sending wire attach , any help would be apreciated tks hotroddad

Gray wire is the light for the PRNDL21 indicator... there should be a spot to plug it to where it'll be controlled by the light switch...dash I think is whatnit says.
Brown fuel tank wire also goes to the fuse box. I am pretty sure there is only one spot that it'll go into.

tks on info on light wie ,but the wire i am speaking of is coming from the sending unit on tank i would think that would have to go through dash cluster for gauge to work if i am not mistaken

exactly. It goes through the fuse panel into the harness to your inst panel, that way there is only one big plug to remove/install.. instead of a million seperate plugs.
