My new toys

The avon bottle doesn't claim to be a chevy truck, but if you look at the lines, it's pretty obvious. The diecast truck I found at a gas station that sells "antiques" or more appropriately, junk, but I found a jewel.

Re: My new toys

One of my sisters used to collect Avon bottles and I used to look for them. As Liz said, I haven't seen one of these before. Checked eBay (search: avon camper bottle) and found one from the UK but could not find one anywhere else. Seems to be rare though not expensive. Good find.

Re: My new toys

I had the Avon one many years ago but have no idea what happened to it.I beleive I got it in the late 60's or early 70's.It was the same color as that and I have seen one other that was also green. The Johhny Lightning one I have without the door decal in 1;16 scale.I got mine at Wally World about three months ago.

No name or dates

This is not the first one like this I've seen. Just the first avon bottle where I noticed the shape. Here is a pic of the bottom. I also picked up a new hot wheels one last week. Its the flamed yellow version of the usual. So now I have plain purple, a '69 graphic purple, flamed yellow and plain red of the stepside hot wheel. I've seen pictures of the flamed green one, but haven't been able to find it.

Re: My new toys

the Avon one is a longhorn! I will have to have the wife try & see if they are still available. she's an Avon lady. (dont laugh, she pays her own way. she may even swing for the 66 Mustang conv. that she has been dreaming of)
