Backup light switch question

Just installed Hurst 3 Speed shifter, had to get a backup light switch.I wanted to use the wires from stock switch to tie into, problem is don't see any wires to the transmission.Since this was 3 on the tree, could the wires and switch be in the column? Also how do I wire this switch up if I can't use factory wiring?
Thanks,
Dave

Your B/U switch is located on the steering column, Look under the dash, you will find the switch up on the top of the column. It is held on by 2 small screws with 2 wires in a clip that attach to it.
BTW .....Why did you put a floor shifter in??
