My question is fitting the drivers side floor patch panel.
I have to replace the cab support/floor/kick panel/rocker.
My problem is the indent for the bolt that goes to the cab support does not
line up with the bolt hole on the support that goes from the back of the cab to the fire wall. I am off about .5 inch. It looks like I need to take a .5 inch
out of the whole floor panel between the rocker panel and the indent. how do I solve this? Do I cut the indent out, in an approximitly (sp) four inch square get the floor lined up, then line up the indent and weld. I am almost sure others had to deal with this type of problem?
I did not have this issue on the passenger side.

I had the same problem on the drivers side only, it was about 1/4 in off. I used a large socket as a die on the bottom of the panel and a piece of appropriate sized pipe on top and relocated the mounting boss with a BFH. With a little finesse you can make it look good. Maybe a little heat will make the process easier.

Yep that is what I did allso the same as Sweet 72,I like to think of it as massage it till it fit with a BFH.

You mean the hole that the body mount goes thru?

Do you need to replace the entire cab support? Most times only the portion of the cab support from the floor reinforcement patch around the body mount bolt needs to be cut out. Also, one can usually just replace the bottom of the cab support around the body mount bolt to avoid cutting the floor beyond the reinforced portion around the body mount. Just slip cut the new one's cut ends into the old remnant.

Just asking since patching only the outer portion of the cab support would avoid the body mount hole altogether except for cleaning out inside what's left of the original cab support prior to welding in the new.

the problem is the new floor pan is not 100% correct in the dimensions
so I can't get the indent on the floor panel to line up with the existing hole
in the cab support. Thanks for answering my next question I now have a plan for replacing the rear cab support.
