For Sale: 71-72 Power Disc Brake Lines (3/4 Ton)

I bought two of these thinking I'd upgrade brakes on two of my trucks to power discs. Ended up not even touching one set of lines, the other set was identical and worked great for my power disc upgrade on my '70 CST/20. This is the complete front brake line kit, from master cylinder down across the crossmember and ending at the junction that runs to the rear brakes.

Paid $94 + shipping just two weeks. $80 plus the ride.

I'm doing an upgrade of my 70 3/4 also, taking the whole crossmember from a 71 GMC. Do I need new brake lines or can I not use my existing?

Re: For Sale: 71-72 Power Disc Brake Lines (3/4 Ton)

If you have all the lines from the crossmember of the 71, from the master cylinder to the rear brake line junction, then you're all set.

But when I did my 70, I thought I could use the 1970 lines. It turns out though that one line going to the rear is super long, going from the 70 proportioning valve straight across the crossmember to the rear brake on the passenger side frame.

This line can't be reused with the prop valve from the 71-72 trucks (I did the same swap as you). The newer style prop. valve brake line exits not from the bottom like the 70, but from the rear of the valve. From this it goes down to a junction box, then to the rear brakes - not a single piece of line like the original line was.

I'll take the lines if shipping isn't too high to 74017. Also, I will need to check tomorrow to see what I have to make sure I need this.

Just FYI, the front lines are the same for 1/2, 3/4, and 1 ton trucks.

I just used a set of nice original 1 ton brake lines on my 1/2 ton. They were a perfect bolt on, no mods or bending needed at all.

Bump, lines still available. Shipping isn't bad as I've found out.
