Help needed on grill swap / front clip

Hi guys

I have a 79 GMC Jimmy.
Can I swap in a later year grill by itself or do I need a same year radiator support?

I was thinking of a 82 + grill.

I presume to put in , say a 1991 grill I would need fenders, hood , radiator support as well as the grill assembly.

How easy are these swaps to do?

Thanks for your help.
Clive
