crazy lift
I saw a gray primer 72 K-5 this weekend down by Southcenter Mall (Seattle). The thing had huge lift and 44" tires. The lift consisted of unconnected leaf springs stacked between the axel and the actual leaf springs. He must have had about 20 of them stacked in there. How safe is that? Craziest lift "system" I've ever seen

Does not sound too safe, stiff too. That's almost equivalent to putting blocks up front. What did the drive shaft angles look like? Did he even have a front driveshaft?

I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

The front drive shaft was very steep. The stering angles were outragious too. He had 1/2 front axel and at least a 3/4 ton rear. I'd be scared to drive that beast down the city streets!

I'm afraid to drive ANYTHING in Seattle's streets! At least the down town part where the market is and stuff...

I'm not a huge fan of downtown either, that's why I live in the suburbs. I've been on the underground tour several times. It is very interesting. Where is Eagar? My father grew up in Globe.

Eagar is about 2 hours East of Globe on hwy 60. A lot nicer looking too, though they've started to clean up Globe.
