If your instructor is that out of tune (pun intended) with whats going on in Diesel performance today ya may want to re-think about going there for your training!

This vid has been posted here awhile back it is still Awesome to see.

DITTO, the stuff that Bully Dog and Banks is selling makes me wish I had gone for a diesel instead of a gasoline truck. I am not fond of Slowpar or Turds, but Chevy is not known for it diesel's but I hear the they new Duromax is OK, but with all of the aftermarket stuff these things throw down 500+hp and 1000 lb/feet of torque, how can you go wrong. Burn em baby burn em and in a diesel no less!! See if your instructor gets it, if not UTI or Wyo tech is where I'd spend my pennies.

I have personally seen a 3/4-ton Dodge Cummins with aftermarket upgrades wear out a 2003 Mustang GT in the quarter mile at a local track. I damn near flipped out and really didn't believe what I was seeing until I wathced several videos of it happening in other places. It is amazing.

Re: Semi Burnout

A buddy of mine had a Dodge 1 ton flatbed duallie that would burnout through 3rd gear and bark 4th and 5th and leaving 6th to haul some serious @$$. It was fast enough to outrun a LS1 Corvette in just about any stretch you wanted to put it on, and black out the windows on the little old lady's car as he passed her like she wasn't moving at all.

Re: Semi Burnout

The Europeans have a racing league kinda like NASCAR where they run semi's.They run a lot of MAN and such, usually on tracks like NASCAR and SSCA.They are pretty cool but nothing like the drags diesels.Your instructor may be making you do the research so you will learn.
The best teacher I ever had taught me very little English(she was an English teacher) but, she accomplished her goal of teaching me to learn.
