Tailgate skin
Does anyone make a full skin for a tailgate. I just picked one up cheap and it needs some work. Seems like the easiest/best way to fix it would be to get a new skin and put that on.
Its going on a custom truck, so no lettering and if it is smoothed out more than the stock one thats fine too. thanks -Fletch

Not sure if it is what you are after, but Mar-K manufactures a full tailgate cover that goes over the existing tailgate. http://www.mar-k.com/tailgate_covers___weldins.pdf You can also check the online catalog http://catalog.mar-k.com/ for more pictures of the parts. These are smooth and cover over the handle area so it also requires some kind of handle reverse kit to operate the tailgate latch from the inside of the tailgate. They cover the outer surface of the tailgate but not the inside. It is generally not practical to use this cover as a replacement 'skin'.
