70 swb body on 77 swb 4x4 frame - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey all,

Been a while since I've been on, dang how things change!! Anyway I'm picking up a complete 77 swb 4x4 in the near future and I was sure somebody had put a 67-72 on a 73 up frame. I currently have a 70 swb 2wd and thought I might put the body on the 77 4x4 frame. I cant find much on the search, can anybody point me in the right direction?

Mudder 67 has done that swap. He is a board mod. He can probably help you. John

The wheel base is not the same, and also you'll have to do a mild custom body lift to make the bed line up properly.
