desperatly need info on my 87 blazer

i got an 1987 s10 blazer. 2 wheel drive 2.8 liter ....my transmission was acting up like it would run like 3,000 rpms or more and never shift ... so i parked it put on blocks and put a used trans in it. the trans i got is out of a 1987 s10 4 wheel drive. i took the shifter off and installed it on my blazer matched up perfectly drove it almost every evening now for a weak just down the road and it is doing the same exact thing as the old one . when you accelerate it doesnt shift gears. can any one help me please

i dont know but i wonder if this isnt something mechanical but electrical somehow? any help would be great

Is your TV cable hooked up and adjusted properly? That is the first place I would look.

Take a look here- TV Made EZ It will give you a much better understanding of your tranny and how the TV works. That info comes from another great site-Bowtie Overdrives

tv cable help/adjustment/replacement

i replaced the transmisssin on my blazer a 87 2.8 liter.

the first tranny you could accelerate a few thousand rpms and would never shift a gear. the second one that i put in is the same way. someone said that the tv cable needed adjustment how do i do it or is it as simple as just buying a new cable and putting it in
