frame shorting

I know this has been beaten to death but had a friend that wants to shorten a long bed frame into a short wheel base frame.I have seen an article in truckin mag a few years ago,but i cant find the mag.I dont know if his way was right or if there is a better way.I think he step the cut in the middle and straight cut the rear portion.I would like to get the measurement and and any deminsions i can.I tried looking in the search part of the site and could not find any thing.I tried "frame shortening" and all i got was "frame" as the main word.Any help would be great.thanks

Re: frame shorting

You sure you don't want a short bed frame with short bed fleet sides?

Re: frame shorting

Do a search for HAMB (Hokey A$$ Message Board) and see if you can get it there, I know they use the s-10 frames for earlier truck bodies. Or you might ask the guys on the later model pages here.
