Under-Gapped
Pulled a few spark plugs to take a look and was a little surprised that they
were not gapped correctly. They were set to .30 when the manual says they should be .35 - what would this have done to my performance/mpg? Other than that they looked pretty good...

It may have hurt the power and MPG because with a small spark there might not have been adequate ignition and flame travel. Gapping them to .35 will help, and if you have an hei I'd go to .40 or .45. The wider the gap, provided you have the spark energy, the better the ignition of the fuel and more power as well as an increase in MPG.
