Will 2000 Suburban seats fit?
Anyone know if a pair of bucket seats from a 2000 Burb will fit in the cab of a '72 pickup? Tryin to decided if I want to pursue getting a pair of them or not. Thanks

With some drilling and maybe a few spacers or washers to level it I'm sure it will work.

I'd reccomend against using seats with intergrated seatbelts. You are just asking for the thin sheetmetal floor to tear out, and send you and the seat through the windsheild...

Putter did this with '99 suburban 2nd-row seats in a thread that is actually recent - look in this forum for titled "putter progress" thread.

I'm considering using those very seats.
Just use proper bracing, etc |

Re: Will 2000 Suburban seats fit?
Yes, they will fit but in my experience their a tight fit at best. (seat backs are too fat)
There's also the shoulder belt issue as mentioned earlier. (big long thread on that one awhile back) I've had them in a burb and they were awesome. (enough room to move rearward in a burb) I've tried them in a pickup also and for me, it was uncomfortable to drive. (to close) Side note: If you have a high hump cab a second row modern seat out of a burb/tahoe won't fit either. |

Re: Will 2000 Suburban seats fit?
well I'll give them a shot, I picked up a pair out of a LT Burb, 6 way power, heated leather seats. They sure are comfortable. If they don't work in the '72 maybe I'll stick them in my '74 instead. Thanks guys.
