Was the inside of the cab, doors and dash a silver grayish color on all models in 67?? What year changed to truck color inside?? Anyone have pics of this interior color for 67?? Also what did Chevrolet name that color????

There was Fawn.It was a sandy gold color.The name of the color you describe escapes me.After`68 the color matched the exterior.

I have seen a few 67's that had the inside cab painted the same color as the outside, not mine, the cab is red on the outside but gray inside.

I never really thought about that before.... My truck had the original 30 some year old paint on it when I bought it. White exterior with a blue interior. I stripped the truck bare and it appears it was never repainted. Odd......

It sounds like there were differences. I realy like the silver grey. Would like to find paint numbers for that one.

There were 4 interior colors in 67: Red, Blue, Green, and the Fawn/tannish color mentioned.

The color you got depended upon the interior vinyl selected. If you selected a vinyl that matched the exterior color, your interior was painted the same as exterior. If you selected a vinyl that contrasted the exterior color, your interior was painted to match the vinyl, not the exterior color.

AFAIK, all panels were painted the neutral fawn color inside regardless of exterior/vinyl choice.

These are generalities and as such your mileage will vary and exceptions will exist.

Mine has had some odd things maybe because it was built in Canada. My grandpa bought it new in 67 from Mitchell Chevrolet Marlington WV I have all of the paperwork including the protectoplate and the original keys with knockouts. Two of my cousins owned it before me but I was around the truck every since I was born in 73.It was a white short fleetside wood floor 250 6 cly 3 speed on the column, just a plain jane low option work truck. The exterior was white, no chrome, painted bumpers, rear sport bumper, in bed spare tire mount, but the interior was a orangish red. The interior sheet metal was painted red, the steering column/steering wheel, dash pad, both sunvisors, vinyl bench seat, lap belts, vinyl door panels and arm rest was all red even the brackets for the sun visors was red. It had the black rubber floor mat, no gauges, black glove box door and black instrument panel with the outer edge painted silver. One thing I thought was funny is that they painted the interior first then when they sprayed the white exterior they got major overspray inside the rear window. The entire lower lip near the rear window rubber was white and the over spray continued all the way down the wall to the top of the seat.

Well I can't find my post of the same thread on the body and paint section, where I thought maybe I would find more detailed info on this question. Does anyone have any pics please ?? and paint name/numbers???

I don't have pictures, but as far as paint codes go, you can to autocolorlibrary.com and pick your year truck, and it will have all the correct paint codes listed for all possible paint combinations for that year truck. There are several paint chips, but I can't remember if that color is in there. I have a black 68' that has (had)the light fawn color, but other than the paint and what is left of the dash pad, the rest has been changed.

Code from my truck's build sheet 046611AA Green Vinyl trim.
The whole inside is the same color as the outside. Green seat, dash pad, visors, seatbelts. Everything in & on the truck is light green, with the exeception of the grille & mirrors in white.

The 67 cab I have is blue inside and outside. It also has what like tar sprayed on the floor and around the sides up about 8". The inside was tared before the gas tank was put in.

This 68 K 20 is parted out now. The frame was in poor condition, cab to. I kept the VIN for my project truck. The only stuff left is the hood & grill (nice condition) (FREE) local pick up only.
