Running Rough
My truck is running rough when I start it up in the mourning i know that all chevys are cold blooded but how can i get the idle to be better with out keeping my foot on the gas for 10 minutes?. Any help for this question would be great thanks to all and keep on trucking

What kind of carb. Need to take it to someone and let them set your choke and fast idle.

Ditto. The thermostatic choke is missing on mine and requires the same "massaging" until it's warmed up. BTW anyone know where I can get one (and the little linkage for it) for a Rochester 2GV? The yards in H-town have nothing this old.

Geeze any one know when Chebbys came out with a auto choke on their trucks?..my guess would be 69....under that was the good ole reliable hand choke ...Sid

69TowRig, any parts store should have the bimetal spring for the choke (if that's the type you need). Linkage can be fabbed from coat hanger wire in a pinch...

Back to topic: I just replaced all the ignition components (save for the coil) in the past few days, it is running not much better, but playing with the choke helped immensely, so I am sure it has to do with that and my idle mixture. sr67 have you been able to check that out?
