33 12.50s on 8 or 10 in. rims

I was wondering how much difference as far as looks go for mounting 33 12.50s on 8 inch rims or 10inch rims is there. I would like to see some picks on 8 inch rims if possible
Thanks

Not a good shot, but these are 33s on 8" wheel. These tires are fat, can't imagine on 10s.

Re: 33 12.50s on 8 or 10 in. rims

My 33s on my burb are on 8.25" rims and they look good, I had some comparision pics awhile ago with the same 33 mounted on 8.25 and 9.75 rims, height wise no big difference and the overall width was very close, within 1/2" . I'll try and find the pics when I get home from work.

Re: 33 12.50s on 8 or 10 in. rims

Here is a couple of pics of 33x12.5 boggers on 10" rims (front only). The rears are 33x14's. I got a set of 33X12.5 TSL's on 8" rallies but got no pictures of them. They fit the 8" rim very nice.

Re: 33 12.50s on 8 or 10 in. rims

here is one of mine. tires are 33 12.5's im not sure what size these rims are. i know they arent 10's and they may even be smaller than 8's. i think the tire guy said it was the smallest rim he would be able to put them on.

Re: 33 12.50s on 8 or 10 in. rims

8's will work just fine. I ran mine on rally's for years. Finally had to buy new wheels as the trails i tackle are getting harder and i tore up the rally's on some rocks...

Super72bb,
Sharp looking truck that is the look I want on mine. Is that a 4" lift? If so what brand, and is it rear springs or blocks.

Re: 33 12.50s on 8 or 10 in. rims

That picture above is when the truck had a 4" lift. I recently purchased some new leafs for the truck and brought it down 1.5" front and back. It had 4 inch blocks in the rear, and some add aleafs to bring the front end up.

Re: 33 12.50s on 8 or 10 in. rims

eather 8 or 10 inch wide wheels will work. i have ran both on my blazer/pickup. i have 33 12.5s on 15x10 rims and havent had any problems. i wouldnt go any wider than a 10 inch wide rim or the tire will have a hard time staying on the beed when running low pressure for wheeling.

Here are some 35/12.50x15 BFG mud terrains on 8" ralleys. I see this combo sometimes.

8" or 8.50" is the only way to go with radial 12.50s, IMO. 10" wide rims are too wide for off road use since there is little tire bulge to protect the rim edge from rocks, logs, roots, etc. An 8" rim will also hold the bead better than 10" rims. A dedicated sand rig would be a different case, though, since flotation, alone, rules on the sand. With proper inflation, tire wear is negligible between the two widths for radials since radials don't crown like bias ply tires can.

8 inch is fine to use with a 12.50 tire. I am about to bump up to a 37 x 12.50 MTR to run on my rallies. Right now... 35's

Great truck and stance, 71blksuper4x4. Looks like the current lift leaves room for 37s.
